4. The purpose for handling personal data

 

According to the association law, Finnish Game Jam is required to keep a register of the full names and localities of all its members.

 

In addition, each member will have a unique membership number, which will be used for identification purposes. Email addresses and phone numbers are saved to the register. They are used to contact members to send membership fees if needed, and to inform about official meetings of the association.

 

To upkeep historical data for the association, the register includes the timestamp of the membership application. This will be used to track the change of the size of the association. To track the membership payments, the register includes the member’s membership payment history.

The information in the register comes from the members. No outside sources are used.

The information in the register is not released forward. Only members of the board, the data protection correspondent, and the treasurer have access to the data of the register.

8. Data protection

 

Using the system requires a personal account and a password. The rights for the system have been given based on user groups. The members have the right to see and edit their own information only. The board members and the treasurer have access to see the date of all members in the register. The data protection correspondent has the admin rights, and can see, edit or remove all data in the register.

 

9. The right to inspect data

 

Registrant has the right to inspect information about themselves. The registrant can log in to their personal account to inspect their information. If the registrant is unable to log in to the system, they can contact the contact person mentioned in item 2. The information request has to be done personally and by presenting an identification card.

 

10. The right to demand corrections

 

Registrants can edit their information by logging in to their personal account to edit their information. If the registrant is unable to log in to the system, they can contact the contact person mentioned in item 2. The correction request has to be done personally and by presenting an identification card.

 

The data protection correspondent can edit information if they notice any inaccurate or incomplete information, or if there are requests from the member.
